What Are Our Best-Selling Cars of 2024?

Back Added: 13 December 2024

It’s been a busy 12 months here at Auto Sportiva. Not only has the wider motoring landscape changed with the advent of electrification and a growing demand for SUVs, but with constantly changing model ranges it’s been a great time for those who love cars.

But what have been our big hitters for 2024 and what have they offered? Here, we’re going to take a look through some of our most popular cars from the last 12 months and remember, if you like the look of any cars that we’ve discussed here then get in touch to find out how you can get behind the wheel of one.

Mercedes G-Class

The boxy G-Class—or G Wagen—is one of the most iconic cars in the SUV sector. It has come from utilitarian roots to become a highly sought-after car by all types of drivers. It’s available with several engine options, too, from silky-smooth diesel to a fearsome 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 in the range-topping AMG model.

With a commanding driving position and loads of off-road tech, the G-Class is great for when the weather turns nasty, too. It has proven a hit with buyers here at Auto Sportiva, too, and you’ll still find a number of them for sale with us today.

Range Rover

How could you not love the full-fat Range Rover? With loads of space inside and a large boot, it has those practicality boxes ticked, but it’s also finished to a high standard and all versions get loads of high-end features that make this SUV look special.

Whether it’s a more urban-focused blacked-out version or something a little more traditional, the Range Rover fits the bill for many types of drivers while delivering the same high-end experience for all of those who get to enjoy one.

Porsche 911

The 911 has always been the ideal ‘everyday’ sports car and that’s probably one of the key reasons why we see so many of them pass through our doors. While the latest 992-generation car has pushed the game forward, the best thing about 911s is that they all have the same involved, exciting driving experience to enjoy, regardless of the generation you go for.

Whether it’s a zingy Carrera or a hardened GT3 model, the 911 is there to show you why Porsche is one of the most trusted creators of sports cars out there. Just don’t ask us to pick one out as our favourite!

Land Rover Defender

Land Rover managed to do the unthinkable and launch a replacement that stood up to the famous Defender when it was introduced. Available in 90, 110 and 130 specifications, the Defender has been a popular sight here at Auto Sportiva. All versions come equipped with loads of equipment, too, including JLR’s latest ‘Pivi Pro’ infotainment system which incorporates all key media and navigation features in one handy, responsive touchscreen display.

You can get the Defender with plenty of strong engine choices, too - including a powerful V8 - and they’re all linked to a smooth-shifting automatic gearbox. Plus - and as you’d expect from a Land Rover - the Defender gets a full suite of off-road systems to help out when the going gets tough.

BMW X5

You could argue that the BMW X5 was the original premium SUV and though its competitors have become more commonplace of late, it remains one of the very best options out there for drivers who want a raised-up seating position in a car that delivers top-notch refinement and quality.

The most recent iterations of X5 have become even more polished, too, with sharp driving dynamics which belie the car’s chunky exterior dimensions. Plus, it’s also available as a seven-seater, adding a little extra versatility for those who require it.

Volvo XC90

The XC90 has been Volvo’s largest and most capable SUV for a long while now. Comfortable, refined and packed with safety systems, the XC90 is a near-perfect family SUV and one which has the robust build quality that you’d want from that type of car, too.

You can get it with a diesel engine or a series of petrol hybrids, with the range-topping T8’s combination of petrol and electric power bringing some serious performance. As far as family cars go, the XC90 is hard to beat and it remains a key member of the Auto Sportiva family each month.

It’s been a busy year here at Auto Sportiva and it looks like 2025 will be just as busy. There’s still time to get behind the wheel of a new car, too, so if you’d like to take a closer look at anything we have on offer, head to our website where you can check out our current stock and get in touch to find out more.
